The bass may seem like a big, rumbling giant with its deep, growling notes, but don’t be fooled by its size! Beneath that powerful sound is a jazzy, playful instrument that’s perfect for creating a smooth, groovy rhythm. In the orchestra, the string section is the largest group of instruments, so it needs a big instrument to help keep everything in line, and the bass is more than up to the challenge. There is so much fun and rhythm this amazing instrument can bring to the music!
