Beethoven’s “Eroica”

Conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen exudes star quality, but in a “stunningly successful” 2024 Philadelphia engagement he made stars of the Orchestra, with The Philadelphia Inquirer praising his extraordinary ability to draw inspired performances from the musicians: “the connection is strong.” Salonen is joined by the towering pianist Yefim Bronfman, hailed for his “fire and poetry” (Seattle Post-Intelligencer).
