The Philadelphia Orchestra Announces One-Night-Only Performance Featuring Emmy® and Tony® Award–winning Actress and Singer Kristin Chenoweth

(Philadelphia, February 18, 2025)The Philadelphia Orchestra will welcome Broadway, TV, and film legend Kristin Chenoweth for a one-night-only performance on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 7:00 PM in Marian Anderson Hall at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. The performance will mark her second collaboration with the Orchestra following her 2016 debut with the ensemble. Together with The Philadelphia Orchestra, conducted by Mary-Mitchell Campbell, she will perform popular hits from Broadway and the American songbook.

Pre-sale tickets for the event will be available to Philadelphia Orchestra and Ensemble Arts donors and subscribers on Tuesday, February 18. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, February 20. Visit philorch.org for more information.

Emmy and Tony Awardwinning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth’s career spans film, television, voice-over, and stage. In 2015, she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2009, she received an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in Pushing Daisies. In 1999, she won a Tony Award for You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown and was nominated in 2004 for her original role of Glinda the Good Witch in Wicked. She has been nominated for two Emmy Awards and for a People’s Choice Award for her role on Glee. She earned a Drama Desk Award, Outer Critics Circle Award, and Broadway.com Audience Choice Award for her lead role in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s On the Twentieth Century. She also earned nominations for a Tony Award and a Drama League Award for that role.

Chenoweth will next be seen in the musical based on the award-winning 2012 documentary The Queen of Versailles, which will make its Broadway debut in the 202526 season after a successful opening in Boston. She was recently seen in the Netflix hit Our Little Secret opposite Lindsay Lohan. She also was seen in Apple TV+’s acclaimed musical-comedy seriesSchmigadoon!, for which she received a Critics’ Choice Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

In January 2023, Chenoweth released her gift book, Im No Philosopher, But I Have Thoughts: For Saints, Sinners, and the Rest of Us. In 2022, she released her first picture book, What Will I Do with My Love Today?

Chenoweth has performed to sold-out audiences across the world, including at Carnegie Hall and Royal Albert Hall. She released The Art of Elegance, her album of American Songbook classics via Concord Records. The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Current Jazz and Traditional Jazz charts and No. 1 on Amazon’s Vocal Pop chart. She also returned to the stage in her limited engagement My Love Letter to Broadway, receiving rave reviews.

Notable television roles include appearances in American Gods, Trial & Error, The West Wing, Disney’s Descendants, and The Muppets. She starred in the holiday film A Christmas Love Story, which premiered on Hallmark Channel, and hosted the Food Network competition series Candy Land.

Chenoweth formed a charity partnership with the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center (BAPAC) Foundation in her home state of Oklahoma. Her accomplishments were honored by BAPAC naming the Kristin Chenoweth Theatre in 2012. Partnering with the BAPAC in a labor of love, she launched an annual Broadway Bootcamp in 2015, providing young Broadway hopefuls with the opportunity to learn from top mentors in the entertainment industry including Kristin herself. In her lifelong mission to cultivate arts education across the globe, she has also created “Places! The Kristin Chenoweth Tour Experience, a unique educational program for young singers that puts them right next to her performing on stage.
