Free tickets available at philorch.org/pride

(Philadelphia, May 9, 2025)—The Philadelphia Orchestra will present its fourth annual FREE Pride Concert on Wednesday, June 4, at 7 PM in Marian Anderson Hall at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. Led by Music and Artistic Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin, the concert will celebrate the Philadelphia region’s LGBTQ+ community through music that embodies their joy, love, resilience, and perseverance. The concert is free, but tickets are required and are available now at www.philorch.org/pride. Seating is general admission and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

“I'm so excited to once again lead the Orchestra in our annual Pride concert, a tradition I’m proud to have started in celebration of Philadelphia’s vibrant LGBTQ+ community,” said Nézet-Séguin. “Music has the power to unite and uplift—two things we need more than ever. From the beginning, Philadelphia has warmly embraced me and my husband, Pierre. I look forward to sharing moments of joy, love, and connection with a community that means so much to me.”

The Orchestra and Nézet-Séguin will be joined by Philadelphia drag icon Martha Graham Cracker, who will serve as host for the evening and perform a surprise song with the Orchestra. The concert will feature performances of Benj Pasek’s “This is Me” from The Greatest Showman, Nile Rodgers’s “I’m Coming Out” made famous by Diana Ross, and more, featuring the ANNA Crusis Feminist Choir, Philadelphia Gay Men’s Chorus, and Philadelphia Voices of Pride. In addition, the Orchestra will perform Bernstein’s “Make Our Garden Grow” from Candide featuring the soloists from this season’s Tristan and Isolde performances, among other selections.

A pre-concert celebration will kick off the evening at 4:30 PM in Commonwealth Plaza at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. Guests are encouraged to dress in their Pride best, walk the rainbow runway, join a dance party with DJ Da Boo Boo, and watch a drag showcase featuring queens and kings from Philadelphia including Brittany Lynn, Lisa Lisa, Hannibal Lickher, Mister Right, and That Queen.

Yannick Nézet-Séguin holds the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Chair.

The Pride Concert is supported by a lead gift from Dr. James F. Dougherty and George Condos.

Additional funding for this concert is provided by Lead Community Engagement Sponsor Independence Blue Cross.
